ive got a 42″ …
ive got a 42″ Philips LCD with Ambilight and i love it. if it gets annoying just turn it off. but i find in a dark room it makes the tv and the image a little easier on the eyes.

theres no difference between ambi light and regular full/true hd on the phillips besides the lights which yeah are cool… but can also get annoying lol so whats point?

Looks really cool, but I think in a few years the cool factor will drop, and the tacky factor will rise.

I’ll stick with my non glowing bravia, but I wouldn’t mind having one of these for a game room.

u dunno how nice it is..
we have an old ambilight LCD here. it´s very nice. complete dark room, only tv on.. better than everything one the market at this time we bought it.
on friday it will come the 52″ lfp 9703.. it´s amazing with the spectra 3.. search youtube for videos..

According to Phillips this technology results in less stress for the eyes due to the contrast changes so it should be less tiring for example to watch a film in the night.
