OK, good to know. So I made the right choice with the Samsun then. Took delivery of it at the weekend and incredibly impressed thus far.
Gaming is sensational and HD a joy to behold! I do recommend. Loads of options for fine tuning the picture and a beautiful interface.
Looks really slick too and a stuuning new additional to the lounge.

The point is it’s not perfection - v. few are without spending a fortune. It’s perfectly good though & better than most.
Compared with new G Series Pannasonic 40″ plasma which should have excelled. But overall image quality of the Samsung was far superior - Panasonic v. grainy; Samsung smooth & bright. Also compared Sony W series. Good picture but not as pretty. No interest in sound issues as use home cinema anyway. And no need for SCARTS (old Tech) as all HDMI, RGB or Optical.

good review - I ended up purchasing this after haggling and getting a really good price. I’ve been able to tweak the colours quite well and I love the aesthetics of the slim screen in the living room.
For the record this RRP’s at $3699 AUD but you can push for under $3000 prices quite easily.
