Television Savings

I want something I can use mainly as a TV so would need to have spots that I could hook cable, from, like the red, yellow, white component cables. Then I also would like to use it as a monitor for my laptop. I would use it mainly for picture editing so I would need a good resolution. I would also use my computer as the DVD player that would run to it. I would be looking at the 20’s" range, maybe 21 or 24. What is the best option for the best price? Would prefer to spend less then $500 but ok to go over. Was looking at the Gateway FPD2485W. Any other picks?
