(and nothing to do with SKy !) the only difference is that in the LCD you dont see the cable to an external box.. its been pre-fitted inside, and you now only need 1 remote control not two ;) ALL TV will be digtal Freeview in a few years time, it replaces the Free Analogue TV we have now.. and you dont have a seperate box for that do you ?
