    oled displays don’t have a backlight, and are VERY different from led backlit tvs you are thinking of. this won’t happen on an oled display.

    This is called “bloom” effect. I know someone who has a TV with LED Backlight and the pictures are looking freakin awesome! With the right TV setup you don’t have to worry :)

    Only thing i don’t like about LED’s on the side is the fact that you’re going to get some SERIOUS light bleeding into the screen, right? Where edges are much brighter than the center..
