Get the 42RV535U ( …
Get the 42RV535U ($890), it has the SRT feature (Super Resolution Technology) that basically upconverts any OTA SD (480i) signal to HD (720p, 1080i/p) format. And if you don’t have a Blu-Ray player yet, but you have a big DVD collection; you could get the Toshiba XD-E500 ($87) upconverting DVD player which gives 80% HD quality out of your regular SD DVD (480i). That’s a really nice combo if you don’t want to expend a lot of money. HDTV + 1080p DVD Player + HDMI Cable, for less than $1000.

yea. i got $5 HDMI cable for my PS3, $6 DVI to HDMI for PC running 1920×1080i. and $4 Optical audio cable and $300 Pioneer Amp. I’m happy with what I’ve got now. and 42″ 1080i for $1450 with 4yrs warranty from Best Buy is pretty good to me. i don’t see any on sale for this TV yet. quality is perfect. but one thing I’m not happy, it doesn’t have PIP nor POP. i don’t really need but it’s better to have it. my equipment total is around $2000. Good enough to satisfied my whole family and my friends.
