In think the best choice is Samsung LN26B360 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV. An ideal HDTV for smaller rooms, Samsung’s LN26B360 offers crisp, bold HD images. The 30,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 8ms response time and Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology help deliver an even more realistic picture quality. Its elegant “piano black” cabinet looks equally as amazing. With a variety of connections, including two HDMI inputs, and one PC input, easily connect digital devices such as a DVD player or PC. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U3Y8LS?ie=UTF8&tag=digitsy-marina-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001U3Y8LS
References :
Try to surf the internet for 2nd hand LCD TV's. Their are more cheaper. But make sure to check before buying. Try to buy television to gamers. People that uses televisions to play xbox and other consoles. You can make sure that the TV they are buying is not too used because those people are conscious of their televisions. they always switch to newer versions and they can assure you that it is still up to date version. It is also cheaper of course.
References :
http://www.motivateddesign.com

i would recommend a Samsung for the price. You may get a 32 inches as the price war is going on now. You can go for a TOSHIBA also which is a nice brand too.
References :
I would go with Vizio or Sanyo. Those are both two quality brands that are trusted. I sell tv's for a living and we don't get many returns with those. Dynex is terrible Best Buy stuff. Don't buy it.

Stay away from Emerson as well.

You may be able to find a cheap 26' Phillips tv as well. They are also reliable.
References :
I work in electronics.
