Sony KDL-40V3000 40″ BRAVIA V(R) series LCD HDTV Television

Sony KDL-40V3000 40
Immerse yourself in outstanding color reproduction and 1080p picture quality with the KDL-40V3000 LCD Flat Panel HDTV.

BRAVIA V-Series televisions are where Full HD 1080 starts. Performance functions like Live Color Creation and the 10-bit panel display assure picture quality, while BRAVIA Theater Sync offers easy one-button operation for enjoying a Sony A/V system. Add a sparkling new black picture frame design, quiet operation, and you have the new BRAVIA V-Series HDTV.

When it comes to high-definition TV the pinnacle of performance is achieved by using 1920 x 1080 display panels. And BRAVIA V-Series televisions have them. Full HD 1920 x 1080 panel resolution with over 2 million pixels (more than twice that of 720p HDTV) is exactly what you need to reproduce the 1080p content. And working with BRAVIA Engine EX everything from standard definition and high definition is upconverted to 1080p for a picture so real it’s like you’re actually there.

While it’s great to state that a TV is capable of creating billions of colors it’s a whole lot better when you have a display that can actually display them. That’s the logic behind Sony’s 10-bit processor and 10-bit display. Sony follows 10-bit processing with a 10-bit panel, allowing 64 times the levels of color expression than an 8-bit panel. What that translates to is smoother transitions from color to color and subtle color changes faithfully reproduced.

Which flat panel TV brands should I consider over others? Vizio, Sony, Samsung?

I am super excited to purchase a flat panel television over this old ‘tube’ that is about to retire. I see all types of brands and even more versatility with the features and prices. So which kind ofTV and features would be the best for watching tv, movies and gaming? Thanks

vizio is crap. sony, pioneer, samsung are probably your best bets. i have a samsung and i love it.

i’m looking for a cheap hd lcd tv for my ps3?

whats the best 26" LCD TV with a built in hd tuner, to get the best picture out of my ps3?
p.s its gotta be cheap and in australia

Check out a Visio…They are realitivley in-expensive and have good quality…They are sold at wal-mart and Sams Club…not sure if they have those in Australia but good luck

What should i use to safely/effectively clean a plastic plasma TV screen?

I have marks on my plastic Plasma TV screen and was wondering what i should use to clean it properly, without leaving a permanent mark or breaking it, thanks.

Yes - the little $10 Monster kit is good.

Or get 50% isopropal alcohol mixed with distilled water (not tap water) in a spray bottle. Use those blue micro-fiber cloths to gently wipe. I use this to deal with multiple flat-panel computer monitors and my HDTV.

While I love Windex - it can take off anti-glare coating on plastic screens, the amonia will penetrate glass on a plasma screen, etc.

35mm Film Scanner with LCD and SD Card Slot (Stand Alone Model)

35mm Film Scanner with LCD and SD Card Slot (Stand Alone Model)

Are you an old time photo hobbyist? Or perhaps your parents or grandparents have a rich collection of old film that you would like to bring into the digital age. Well, instead of taking those old 35mm slides and negatives and paying $2 each to have them scanned by the local shop, now you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost! With the G111 35mm Film Scanner with LCD and SD Card Slot you can digitize all those precious memories at the comfort of your desk. Why would you want to digitize old film and slides? Lets face it, what is the point of taking beautiful photos if you cannot share them with people. Whether you need to give some archived photos to a business client or to your family members, it is very inconvenient to develop your old film rolls yourself or take them to the local photo shop every time you need some new prints. Now in less than 4 seconds per picture, you can turn any old 35mm photo into a 4.2MP rich color image. This is the quickest, cheapest and most convenient way to share old pictures! There is an additional benefit of using the G111 to digitize those old photos - safety. If you lost those old 35mm photos due to fire, theft, or simple age decomposition, they are lost forever, which would be devastating. However, once you digitize them into JPG files they can be copied, moved, duplicated freely with a simple click of a mouse. This is really a small investment in both convenience and safety for all those irreplaceable photos. If high quality and speedy film scanning wasn’t enough, this model film scanner also has an LCD viewscreen plus TV OUT which allows you to view the film you are working on as well as photos saved on the inserted SD card. With a one button touch you can do a slideshow review of all your newly saved photos for more efficient work or entertainment. The new G111 35mm Film Scanner with LCD and SD Card Slot simply is the best way to turn your old roll film, slides and negatives into new photos. At a Glance.
