I am comparing two 22" Flat Panel TVs. The one I want with a DVD combo is only 720p and Im wondering if there is really a big difference or if its no big deal? Can anyone help?

Plasma TV.
I plan on getting a brand new Plasma TV 50" 1080p, but I am worried about image retention and burn-ins. Are the new Plasma’s advanced enough to prevent this? I keep hearing people not having a problem, but I still keep hearing stories of people having to return their TVs because of the frequent burn-ins.
The newer plasmas do not have any issues with burn in. Head on over to www.hdguru.com and look at their article about this issue. It’s very informative. http://hdguru.com/plasma-tv-burn-in-fact-or-myth/826/

Flat Panel TV.
I am planning on mounting my Flat Panel TV on the wall of a new room we just built. I put a sheet of 1/2 inch OSB board on the wall and then put drywall over it so as to be able to mount the tv wherever I want. Do you think it will hold, or should I still mount it into the studs? The TV weighs about 85lbs. Thanks.
Always go with the studs for something that heavy and valuable. Have you seen that commercial on TV where the guy’s flat panel crashes to the floor? I cringe every time I see it.

I have a hitachi plasma screen tv and a dell decktop computer. i recently got netflix and i was wonder if there was a way i could watch movies on my computer but using my tv as a monitor.
You can! What you need to do is you need to hook up a modem to your laptop, then feed the lap top to a convertor box into the HDMI cable of your TV. Then you download the application from any site off google. Just search "netflix watch from home program" and bling bling.

It appears that we have the dvd player hooked up correctly to my new Plasma TV, but the movie plays in black and white, instead of color. The cable is working fine and in color, but we are stumped on why the DVDs are coming across in b&w.
try PAL/RGB seting on dvd player and check all other settings on dvds

Where can i buy a Cheap LCD LCD TV for under £100 in England
I’ve worked in electronics for quite a while. You can get no-name brands for fairly cheap from the web, but I would recommend you go to Richer Sounds. They guaruntee to be cheapest and are really helpful and good with any problems.
Buying from websites can often have problems, really difficult to get any help, generally not that willing to go the extra mile.
Also… save up some extra money and spend it on a branded one. The components are of higher quality, they are less likely to go wrong, and more importantly, if they do develop a fault they are much easier to get parts for and therefore are quicker to be fixed and again more reliable.
If you are going to have the TV for a while, you should spend the extra money and get one that is going to be a decent picture, and a decent brand.
The LG M197WD is a pretty good bargain, Richer Sounds do them for about £160 I think. The sound isn’t great but thats to be expedcted from an LCD, especially a smaller size.
I know i sound like a Richer Sounds spokesperson, but they really are much more knowledgeable than almost any other shop, and guaruntee to be cheapest. And they give extended cover for cheap.

Flat Panel TV.
I bought a LCD TV from a pawn shop the other day. They have written a long item number or something, as well as the price on the back of the TV in silver permanent marker. Usually rubbing alcohol takes off black permanent marker but thats not doing the trick. What else can I do?
