Flat Panel TV.
I have a flat screen/panel HD tv from Samsung that I had mounted on a wall for a while and now I want to put it back on its stand. Whenever I put it on top of the stand, it only slides down onto the stand about half way then gets stuck or something and I can’t seem to get it all the way on.
What am I doing wrong?
Most stands are slotted so that you can’t put it on wrong and they will go on only one way. So without actually seeing what’s happening, I’d say you might be doing it wrong, flip it the other way and try again.

Plasma TV.
I just purchased a Plasma TV from best buy, and the car that we used wasn’t big enough to transport the TV completely vertically. We had to put the TV in the car diagonally. However, as we were going up a hill, the TV fell flat on its side! What should I do at this point?
If the screen is not broken, then most probably it still works as most components are relatively immune to shocks.

I need a new smart phone because i washed my old one so now I’m stuck with an lg spyder, but I’m also not up for contract renewal till may for cellular south so the cheapest way for me to get the phone would be to cancel my service for $175 and sign a new one and pay 149 for the phone instead of the out of contract price for the phone which is 499.99. Also my 32 in television i have right now is 6 years old and I’m ready to upgrade to an lcd so i can watch online movies from my laptop on my television, and i want at least a 40 in television up to a 47 in one.
I would get a cheap phone on ebay that you like and get a tv. phones on ebay are chea

LCD TV.
It is currently about 18 degrees out. I got an LCD TV for christmas and I am taking it back to school in my pickup truck. Is it safe to transport it in the box in my truck with the temp being this low?
Yes, but let it come up to room temp for a few hours before turning it on.

Cheap LCD TV.
seriously you don’t want a no name brand but LG offers pretty good deals on LCD’s and it’s still a good brand close to samsung and sony, I got a 42inch 120hz LG for 700 dollars cheaper than a 120hz samsung.

LCD TV.
I am buying a sony bravia 40" LCD TV (klv-40v-550a). I am planning to mount it to the wall.
The viewing distance would be approximately 14 feet from the wall.At what height should i keep it so as to have the best & comfortable view, without straining the neck.
It depends on where you’ll be watching.
If you’re in the living room/den you should put it about eye level of your sitting position.
If you’re watching in the bedroom from bed you should put it above eye level so you’re looking up – kinda like in a hospital room.
Check at a store to see what height their TV Stands are; I believe my is 20 inches high and it is acomfortable viewing height (eye level inthe living room)

Plasma TV.
I bought a new 42" Plasma TV, i also got an HDMI cable. I read the manual, but it doesn’t say how to put my pc screen onto my tv screen.
connect pc to screen and find the correct channel( either trial and error or channel may say pc or pc connection.
right click on your desktop and click tab that says settings, click on screen that is not selected and then select extend my windows desktop on to this monitor, then you will have a picture on your tv.
now right click desktop again and select properties and then when the new window appears select twin screen.
done from memory but thats the process!

Plasma TV.
I plan on getting a brand new Plasma TV 50" 1080p, but I am worried about image retention and burn-ins. Are the new Plasma’s advanced enough to prevent this?
Burn-in is really not a serious problem anymore. Not only has the plasma technology advanged to where the display panel itself is more resistant to it, but all modern game systems have a burn-ion reduction system that will dim their video output after 10 minutes or so, and most decent-quality or better plasmas also have a feature you can turn on that will shift the image around an inperceptible amount to further prevent burn-in.
It’s still possible, but so long as you don’t buy a bottom-of-the-barrel plasma, any set on sale new today should be good enough that you’d almost have to try to burn-in the image to make it happen.

Flat Panel TV.
I bought a Toshiba Flat Panel TV last April and had it mounted to the spine on the tv stand I had. I just bought a new entertainment center this weekend and will need the base my tv came with for the new entertainment center, but I think I threw it away with the box. Does anyone know where I can get just the base so I can stand the tv up?
I would look in the manual for the TV and see if it list the part number for the stand itself. Toshiba may still have some the can sell individually. Otherwise, google search for the part number, it is possible it is for sale on Ebay or someplace else.
Other than that, you can look for a universal tabletop stand, such as this one:
