Use our easy-to-install Recessed Pro-Power Installation Kit to install power and hide unwanted audio/video (hdmi, component video, etc) cables in the wall behind your wall mount tv, lcd, hdtv, or plasma flat panel TV. This kit brings a clean, professional image to your at-home lcd, hdtv, or plasma Flat Panel TV installation.
Since this kit does not connect to your homes existing wiring, there is no contact with live electrical circuits. To install, connect the two Recessed Cable Plates using electrical wire. Plug the female end of the extension cord into the Recessed Cable Plate with Straight Blade Inlet and the male end into a surge protector or power outlet. This connection will bring power to your hdtv, lcd, or Plasma TV or A/V equipment. Your local hardware store can offer suggestions in fishing wire through an exterior wall. There are also articles on the internet about it: I searched “exterior wall wire fish” and found several helpful articles.

The Recessed Pro-Power Kit can be installed on this type of wall. When fishing wire through exterior walls, fish around the insulation-not through it. Most insulation has either a covering. Fish wire between the covering and the drywall. If possible, fish the wire along a stud, using the stud as a guide. Keep the fish tape end towards the inside of the drywall and there will be less of a chance of it interfering with the insulation.

The screws on the …
The screws on the power side of the plate actually screw into the electrical box, not the drywall. The screws on the low voltage side are attached to specially designed wings that flip up to tighten the plate to the drywall. The screws themselves do not drill into the drywall.
