What cables are needed to hook up a desktop to my plasma TV?
I want to use my Plasma TV as a extra monitor, what cables so I need? I have a HP desktop and a Vizio plasma.
there are 2 major things that anyone would need to know to be able to give you the best answer
1. what type of video card do you have
2. what type of connectors you have on both video card and tv.

1. the blue is a 15 pin db VGA it is easy to connect just push both ends firmly on to video connect on tv and video card. $4.99

2. the black is an s-video connector is a medium quality picture but still can handle HD. it is an easy cable to get to connect line up a small black rectangle pin again just push firmly on both ends. (you see the slot on the picture) $12.99

3. the DVI connector is simular the 15pin db above. It is the highest quality connector the cord $14.99
4. You might need a dvi-VGA cable $4.99

You would need the original cables that you usually connect to the computer with.
If you want full-HD when you connect you computer up to your HD-TV, try to build a HDMI input on you computer. Then buy a HDMI cable and walla! You have full HD, 1080p, 100Hz picture quality.
